General Notes:
The Sept. issue of "Daughters of the American Revolution Magazine", page 501, states the following: "Street, Anthony,: b. c. 1710, d. a. June 7, 1790 VA, m. Elizabeth Brockman, PS, VA." ---
From Mavis Clemmer: Anthony Street was granted 400 acres of land in Spotssylvania Co. Va. in 1734 and sold it by 1763. This means that all of his children were born in Spotsylvania Co.
The land was on the branch called Plentiful, a branch of the Little Anna River. In 1758 he sold 165 acres to his son, Samuel, and son-in-law, Micajah Cox. In 1763 he sold the other 235 acres to Thomas Brightwell. This is probably when he went to Amherst County. There is now a Lake Anna Park with a campground at the place he lived. ----------------
